Automatic translation via AI

It is possible to use AI to translate all texts on your website automatically. This includes product descriptions, blog posts, title tags and meta descriptions, email templates and much more.

The option can be found under "Settings » AI tools » Automatic text translation".

Here you can choose which AI model you want to use for your translations, as well as which languages it should translate to.

Choosing an AI model You can choose among a range of different AI models to translate your texts.

If you are unsure, you need not worry about this choice. All models are good, and the difference in error rate and quality is small.

The more expensive models are (naturally) often slightly better than the cheaper ones.
What you should be aware of When you activate automatic translation for your entire website, the system will translate all missing texts. This therefore concerns the texts (languages) that have not already been completed.

If you have just added one or more languages to your website, there may be hundreds of texts.

AI is not flawless, and you should regularly ensure that the translations are correct.

Also note, that if you make changes to a text that has already been translated, other language versions of that text will not be updated automatically. This function only translates texts where the other language field is empty.

Therefore, when you make changes to a text, remember to delete all translations of that text if you want the AI to translate the original text from scratch.
Translate texts individually If you want to translate texts individually, this can be done by clicking the globe icon next to the relevant text. The globe icon is found in almost all places in the admin where it is possible to edit texts (provided you have enabled multiple languages under "Settings » Website/webshop » Languages/currency".
