Gift cards - automatic and manual options

You have two options for selling gift cards in your ideal.shop webshop.

1. Automatic sale/delivery of gift cards

With this method, you create an item with the type "gift card". When your customers purchase this item, they immediately receive a discount code that they can later use in your online shop.

It all works automatically. To get started, simply create a shop and add the "gift card" tool.

2. Create your own gift cards

If you want to create your own gift cards, for example via beautiful images or PDF documents, simply create your gift cards as regular items. When a customer purchases this item, you create the gift card file locally (possibly via a discount code you create in the shop) and send it to the customer via your own email programme.
