How do I change my text / links on Google?

Do you want to change how your links and text appear in a Google search?

Then there are a few things you need to be aware of:

It is EXCLUSIVELY GOOGLE that decides what they show in their search results

In other words, you can make changes to the text on your website. But there is no guarantee that Google will choose to display what you enter.

Here are some of the most common tools to influence how Google displays your links.

Title tags (the title of your links in Google) Usually (but not always) Google will use your page title for their link.

At ideal.shop, the platform will always generate an automatic title for your content, product category and product pages.

If you want to change the automatic title, you can do so by searching for and activating the appropriate tools. Search for "title-tag" and activate the suggested tools. You can then edit pages, product categories and products and enter your own customised titles.
Meta descriptions (the text that appears below the link) Sometimes (but not always) Google will use your page's meta description as the text below the link in their search results.

Often, however, instead of using the meta description, Google will select a section of your normal text on the content or product page and display it instead.

If you want to save a meta description, you can do so by searching for and activating the tools to do so. Search for "meta description" and activate the suggested tools. You can then edit pages, items and item categories and enter your own customised descriptions.
