Facebook Business Manager warns about issues in my feed

If you transfer product data to Facebook via your product feed, it is unfortunately very likely that you will start receiving warnings about "issues" with your feed.

It's important to note that there is a big difference between ERRORS and PROBLEMS. And it is most likely only PROBLEMS/ WARNINGS that you will be alerted to.

This means that there are no ERRORS in your feed. In fact, you can safely ignore messages like the one below! (but read on in case you can optimise something)



But what does the warning mean?

Facebook is interested in getting as much information about your products as possible. The more data, the better Facebook can decide where, when and how to display an item.

Therefore, Facebook is keen to have information such as unique IDs (SKU and GTIN).

If you have this information (SKU and/or GTIN), you can enter it on your products. But it is not a requirement!

GTIN/SKU: Search in the super finder for sku or gtin and activate the fields. Then you can enter the information by editing the item.

google_product_category: Search in the super finder for "google_product_category" and activate the tool. You can then enter the information by editing product categories (recommended) or on each individual product.
