Send email to all customers
If you want to send a message to all your customers, you must first check that you have authorisation to do so.
It is far from certain that you are allowed to contact your customers in the way you want.
The following scenarios will give you the necessary acceptance or authorisation:
- the customer has provided "informed consent" via a tick box when placing an order
- the customer has subscribed to the newsletter on your website/web shop
- your message is purely a service message to the customer, for example, information about a faulty product
If you can answer 'yes' to one of the above, then you are ready to write a message to your customers.
Have you activated your newsletter?
Your ideal.shop website/webshop has a built-in newsletter that you can activate. Once this is done, you can ask your visitors and customers to sign up for the newsletter.(find the option by searching for "newsletter" in the large search box)
You can also copy and paste newsletter recipients if you already have a list of email addresses. Please note that they must have previously agreed to receive your newsletter.
Should you send a service message?
Do you want to send a message to all your customers regarding a non-commercial service message? For example, information about a faulty item.It is possible to download a spreadsheet with order information from sales in your webshop. This is done under "Orders" in the left menu. At the bottom of the page is the "Extract" button.
Make an extract based on the orders you want to retrieve. In the downloaded file, you can see the email addresses of all orders that match your search criteria.
You can now copy the email addresses into your email programme or newsletter provider (e.g. Mailchimp or Klaviyo).
